When you visit the USS Midway Museum, you can expect to board a real aircraft carrier that once housed more than 4,500 crew members of the U.S. Navy. The enormous ship offers a range of interactive exhibits including a self-guided audio tour, a virtual reality experience, and numerous restored aircraft. You’ll get a sense of what life was like out at sea as you explore the ship’s living quarters, galleys, sleeping quarters, and even the officer’s personal living space.
We recommend purchasing your tickets ahead of time through Embarcadero Adventure Offers, as you can qualify for additional discounts for other activities in San Diego. Tickets are $26 per adult, $18 per child, and free for children 5 years old and under. However, there are additional discounts for active duty military, so be sure to ask if you qualify for free or discounted admission. All visitors are subject to a bag check, as outside food and drink are prohibited and no weapons may be brought aboard. We also recommend planning to stay at least three to four hours so you can get the full experience, and dressing comfortably as you’ll be doing a lot of walking and navigating ladders.
